Description: Adjustable 80cm macrame cord with 5 Keshi pearls; available in Beige and Silver.
Keshi pearls are delicate gems that make immensely versatile accessories because they are adventurous enough to complete a relaxed outfit, yet subtle and elegant to be suited with a cocktail dress or business attire.
Tahitian keshi are ocean water pearls that grow accidentally during the pearl culturing process, thus are quite rare to find in large quantities.
Cultured pearls grow around a nucleus that is introduced manually into the oysters, in the case of Tahitian keshi pearls, it is the oyster Pinctada margaritifera that rejects that foreign body (can be a piece of shell, or any bead) yet still creates a Keshi pearl which is totally made of nacre.
Their irregular shape and controversial nature make them very unique.
***All of our pieces are hand-made using gems from the French Polynesian lagoons.
